National Account Manager

Position Summary:

The National Account Manager for Specialty Pharmacy / PBM, will focus on a combination of payor-owned and independent Specialty Pharmacies / PBM’s and assume responsibility for executing Octapharma US commercial sales strategy across a clinical portfolio of products. Account management responsibilities shall include but not be limited to coordination of all specialty services such as patient access programs, data service agreements, distribution agreements and management of Specialty Pharmacy pull through initiatives for managed care wins. The position is both strategic and operational in nature and includes ultimate accountability for assigned national accounts.

Requirements:
  • Ten or more years previous in Pharmaceutical sales and / or account management in related industry (Ice Specialty Pharmacy, Managed Markets, PBM).

  • Five plus years Managed Markets experience with demonstrated success

  • Three plus years of recent SP national account management experience

  • Direct experience in the plasma or biologics market a plus

  • Computer proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM

  • Detailed knowledge of the national and regional provider networks

  • In depth knowledge SP, PBM and Payor business operations and existing experience/relationships with targeted SP/PBM points of contact (Ie; Accredo, CVS Caremark/Coram, Option Care, Diplomat, BioScrip).

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred

  • Position is field based and requires a minimum 60% - 70% travel (including time spent in Home Office, client visits, trade shows and Octapharma Sales meetings).
