Position Summary:

Octapharma USA is searching for a Vice President, Marketing to join our team. The Vice President, Marketing will lead the US Marketing team to achieve the company’s short and long-term growth goals and objectives as they continue to expand further into the US market. Additionally, the position will establish a clear vision for the marketing organization and will help drive sales and profit performance. The Vice President, Marketing will be an important member of the executive leadership team for Octapharma USA. Peers of the VP will include the Senior Vice President Finance and Operations, the Vice President Medical Affairs, the Vice President of Human Resources, and the Vice President of Compliance and Legal Counsel.

Requirements:
  • Must be on-site in Paramus, NJ Office

  • BS/BA degree in related area and an advanced degree is preferred

  • Knowledge of plasma-related or Hematology market and products would be a significant advantage but is not required

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies and techniques including brand planning, selling, and negotiation skills

  • Strong functional competence in Marketing

  • A proven command of classic pharmaceutical/biotech marketing disciplines and techniques, such as market segmentation, market research, advertising and promotion, competitive analysis, pre-launch work, and key opinion leader outreach is required

  • At least 15 years of progressive pharmaceutical/biotech commercial sales and marketing experience

  • The ideal candidate will likely be a Vice President level commercial executive in a small to medium-sized specialty pharmaceutical or biotech organization or a Senior/Executive and/or Director level executive in a large multinational pharmaceutical/biotech organization.

  • Demonstrated sales and marketing leadership experience with specialty, hospital and biological products

  • Biologics Product launch experience, including pre-launch activity and subsequent in-line marketing of launched brands.

  • Experience in planning and forecasting brand launches, ongoing brand/product performance evaluation, pricing, promotion, and communications. The latter will include Public Affairs, Public Relations, Advertising, Advisory Boards and Key Opinion Leader relationships.

  • Experience in pre-launch, launch and in-line sales and marketing management activities

Octapharma USA Compensation and Benefit Summary:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $250,000 to $350,000; however, unexpected and necessary adjustments or increases may result from Company annual salary increases, if applicable, and or fluctuations in the job market necessitating adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits, including parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
