Position Summary:
Octapharma USA is searching for a Vice President, National Accounts and Market Access to join our team. The Vice President, National Accounts & Market Access will provide the vision and strategic leadership to optimize contract opportunities, access, reimbursement, and profitability of the company’s pipeline from product development throughout the lifecycle. The VP, National Accounts & Market Access is responsible for the expansion of access to Octapharma’s portfolio of products through the identification, development, and management of strategic relationships with national accounts, payers and organizations that influence payer decision-making. To accomplish these, the VP must demonstrate a solid understanding of the evolving marketplace as it relates to national accounts and reimbursement drivers. The VP must have a proven ability to develop strategies and effective implementation plans to achieve company objectives as it relates to the areas of responsibilities.
Requirements:
Must be able to work onsite in Paramus, NJ Office
Bachelor's degree required; Master’s/advanced degree preferred
Minimum 10 years field-based pharmaceutical/biotech Sales and/or Marketing experience with at least 5 years of direct managed care experience and/or National Accounts Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of market access philosophy, coding, and reimbursement strategies, and contracting principles
Proven strong understanding of Specialty Pharmacy and Pharmacy Benefit Managers, 3rd party payers and administrators (commercial/government), physician networks, integrated delivery networks, self-insured employers, and public policies
Proven, recent track record of successfully establishing access and reimbursement strategies in a clinical lab setting with demonstrated understanding of the reimbursement and pricing payer landscape
Strong technical knowledge in US pharmaceutical markets
Previous experience successfully developing and leading national accounts, managed markets/payer initiatives that supported pharmaceutical launches
Extensive experience with contract evaluation, review, and negotiation of high value payer contracts
Strong execution discipline is a must; ability to close large, complex agreements with payer clients successfully is a minimum requirement for this position
Track record in building leading, motivating, and training successful team members in an entrepreneurial clinical lab as a player/coach
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time including overnight stays

Octapharma USA Compensation and Benefit Summary:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $300,000 to $350,000; however, unexpected and necessary adjustments or increases may result from Company annual salary increases, if applicable, and or fluctuations in the job market necessitating adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits, including parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
