Imagine seeing a patient initially limping, having trouble with target joints, and after using one of our products, seeing them improve physically. That’s my experience as Coagulation Sales Specialist. I get to see the physical changes in patients and their appreciation for being put on a product that improves their life. It doesn’t get better than that.

The best thing about my role as Coagulation Sales Specialist with Octapharma USA is the opportunity to interact directly with patients and see the difference our products make in their lives. Imagine seeing a patient initially limping, having trouble with target joints, and after using one of our products, seeing them improve physically. That’s my experience. I get to see the physical changes in patients and their appreciation for being put on a product that improves their life. It doesn’t get better than that.

I also love my autonomy and the flexibility in the structure of my day. I get to decide where to go and what to do based on what I think is best for my business. Some companies use metrics that dictate how many calls a sales specialist needs to make, to which MDs, and so on. Not Octapharma. The company trusts its employees to make informed decisions that benefit and build our enterprise.

It is impressive how much time and money we put into research and development so that we can continue to improve the products we have and develop new ones to keep us on the leading edge. Our speed in bringing new ideas, products, and indications to market is exceptional, matched by the ability to provide timely marketing materials. This is really helpful to the sales team, giving us the opportunity to get in front of our customers with something new and interesting. And it certainly helps that we have great products, so you know when you are making a sale you can back up your selling points with products that work.

Another thing I love about Octapharma is everyone’s willingness to help! This goes from your counterparts to leadership -- it’s the company culture from top to bottom. The goal is to help every employee succeed. You will always have the necessary support, coaching, and encouragement to grow and advance. For example, when a new member joins our team, I have had the opportunity for them to “shadow” me for a couple of days because leadership thinks I would be a good role model. It helps the new hire and makes me feel special and acknowledged for the work that I am doing. In addition, I have been asked to attend large conferences, where I am proud to represent Octapharma, and to help out with company initiatives. There is definitely a “family” feel about Octapharma, and you are part of it.
