When I started at Octapharma I was a Patient Educator, traveling in the United States and even parts of South and Central America, sharing my experiences as a patient with Octapharma products. Then the company afforded me a broader platform by advancing me to Senior Patient Experience Manager. In this role I work with Marketing to provide input on collateral and marketing sales aids as well as on educational programs. I get to make a direct impact on how we present our products to healthcare providers and patients. It feels great to help them make well-informed decisions. I also get to make a direct impact on the organization. I appreciate the company’s open-door policy where everyone is encouraged to share their ideas on how we can improve, and that it takes our input to heart. In fact, most of the changes and enhancements made to our day-to-day roles have come from employee feedback. I have never worked for a company that respects and values its employees more; I love being part of the Octapharma family.
The most compelling thing to me about working at Octapharma is that we really do the put the patients first at the core of everything we do. It starts with our mission statement and values and is expressed in multiple ways across the entire organization, playing a huge role in our day-to-day jobs. While that is a constant, I also enjoy the fact that no two days at my job are alike. I have to be flexible and ready to pivot to address whatever comes my way. It keeps things interesting and challenging.
My advice to a job seeker who is interested in joining Octapharma is that the company values hard work and effort. If you are driven to provide excellent patient care in a dynamic environment, apply! The last 8+ years have flown by because I enjoy what I do every day. Coming to work at Octapharma was best career move I have ever made, and it has given me pride every day.
